Devereux Children's Behavioral Health Services is currently seeking a Program Supervisor for the Mapleton Program , located in Malvern, PA. This program provides psychiatric residential treatment and education services for adolescent females who experience behavioral and psychiatric challenges, often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environment
As a Program Supervisor at Devereux’s Mapleton Program you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer an environment that is supportive, educational and clinically focused. This position will give you a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience within the mental health and the juvenile justice systems. Our environment is fast paced, ever changing and offers a sense of personal satisfaction and self fulfillment while serving as a key member of a treatment team.
The schedule for this position is FT 3-11pm with a weekend rotation.
The Program Supervisor is responsible to plan and implement residential program services for assigned clients. Assists in providing supervision of clients in program activities and leisure time, on and off facility grounds. Maintains a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of program clients. Provides leadership, guidance and support to staff in assigned program.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year work experience with children or:
An Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of work experience with children.
The IDEAL candidate will... Be empathetic, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, energetic, creative, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement, and represent yourself as a positive role model. Additionally, you must be able to complete eight days of new hire orientation class, have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs and possess a valid license.
Physical Requirements: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
