Devereux is hiring for a Full-time Clinician (licensed or working toward eligibility) for our Mapleton Intensive Program (MIP) in Malvern, PA. The MIP program serves females, ages 12 to 16 with the focus of creating an environment which promotes strength, recovery and resilience by addressing a variety of complex emotional and behavioral challenges.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Provides and/or coordinates the delivery of non-medical therapeutic services to patients in an acute care setting utilizing assessments, and individual, group and family therapy.

  • Conduct strength based bio-psychosocial and need oriented assessment of current family/guardian system, develop treatment plan and follow up on progress

  • Serves as the voice of treatment with all formal and informal communication with the team and completes timely documentation

  • Collaborates with the therapeutic recreational specialist on a consistent basis about patient's level of participation and assist with problematic behaviors which arise

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related Human Services discipline.

EXPERIENCE : Previous clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, particularly in an acute care setting, preferred.

MUST BE LICENSED OR LICENSE ELIGIBLE
