We are looking for a dedicated, board-eligible or certified Part-time Child Psychiatrist (20-30hrs/wk; Available 5 days)for our inpatient children's psychiatric hospital in Malvern, PA.

As a Part Time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at DCBHC you will carry a caseload of no more than 14 patients on an ongoing basis. The psychiatrist is the team leader and participates and directs treatment. Daily tasks include seeing the patients on the caseload and associated med changes/ MD notes/ documentation/ evaluations, morning team rounds, family treatment team meetings (weekly), admissions and discharges.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) – the only free standing children’s psychiatric hospital in Chester County, Pennsylvania, – employs a team of acute care professionals dedicated to meeting the needs of children and adolescents, ages 5 to 18, and their families, in acute mental health crisis. Many of the individuals we serve are from southeast Pennsylvania, but DCBHC has served children and adolescents from other regions of Pennsylvania, as well as neighboring states. Diagnoses may include; suicidal gestures and attempts, cutting and self-injurious behaviors, depression, aggression, psychosis, autism spectrum disorders and/or drug and alcohol issues.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with current valid license in Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain). Completion of an approved psychiatric residency program required.

• Child psychiatry training if treating population 16 years and younger. Must demonstrate relevant treatment competency through clinical experience, continuing education units and referral letters to support these specific skills.
