You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.Devereux's Children Behavioral Health Center is currently seeking a Full-Time, Admission Specialist to work at their acute psychiatric inpatient hospital located in Malvern, PA between the hours of 5:00pm and 1:00am. The Admission Specialist performs a variety of tasks involving hospital admissions processes to include primary external and internal customer contacts, intake processes, data entry and tracking, and performing on-going chart and documentation audits to ensure compliance and payment for services provided.Some additional responsibilities include:
-Serves as the primary source for all formal and informal communication pertaining to patient admissions. Communicates effectively and professionally with referral sources, families, insurance companies and treatment team members. Manages the hospital's admission line throughout his/her entire shift and transfers admissions phone line to next person when shift is complete.
-Greets families and visitors to Hospital in a professional, polite and friendly manner while maintaining patient confidentiality.
-Maintains accurate data base in ProFiler, MPSRX and Word for census, intakes and authorizations. Generates ID number and enters authorization(s) into system once patient has arrived.
-Prepares and processes legal consent forms, bio-psychosocial, QPRT assessments, certificate of need, and any other form pertaining to admission process upon actual admission. Documentation of all performed non-medical treatment services is completed in a timely fashion. Ensures that all documentation is professionally written reflecting scope and intensity of services delivered.
-Performs on-going chart audits and admission documentation so that necessary corrections/improvements can be made to ensure compliance and profitability.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Childrens Behavioral Health Services provides programs and services for Children and adolescents with behaviroal health dianosis. Located in Malvern, PA this position is responsible forvariety of tasks involving DCBHC admissions processes to include primary external and internal customer contacts, intake processes, data entry and tracking, and performing on-going chart and documentation audits to ensure compliance and payment for services provided

EDUCATION : Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare, psychology, or a related field.
HOURS: 5pm - 1am
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of one year experience in admissions in a healthcare facility. Experience in utilization management/review, nursing or legal/business secretarial work in an active practice may be considered in lieu of admissions experience. Telephonic skills and proficiency in Microsoft- like applications is required.
Physical Requirements: Minimal amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Repetitive wrist/hand movements with frequent use of computers and office equipment.
