We are looking for FT DSPs to assist with our Direct Care Team.
Required shift is 3pm-11pm. This position will require working a weekend shift.

JOB SUMMARY: The Lead Direct Support Professional is responsible for overseeing unit operations and activities on the residential unit(s) during the assigned shift. General responsibilities include managing the unit environment in a manner that provides appropriate structure and client monitoring, managing unit activities, supervising Direct Support Professionals assigned to the unit and shift, overseeing implementation of the campus program and skills groups, and ensuring that the unit activities and staff actions remain in compliance with facility policy and external regulations throughout the shift. He/She functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and assists in providing care and treatment that is appropriate to the ages and populations served, specifically children and adolescents.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health League City provides programs and services for adolescents and young adults with emotional, behavioral, developmental and psychiatric disorders. Located in League City, TX, this position is responsible for providing individual or group client care and assisting in the planning, implementation, social, occupational and other developmental programs.
Devereux Texas is a part of a nationwide network of programs treating individuals of all ages who have a wide range of emotional, behavioral, developmental and psychiatric disorders.
Services offered through Devereux-League City include residential services for ages 13-22. These programs provide secured long-term services to clients with a wide spectrum of emotional, behavioral, developmental, psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders. Residential treatment services include individual, group and family therapies, along with pre-vocational programs and an accredited educational program.

High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field.
One (1) year of human service experience working with children, adolescents, and adults required.
Valid Driver's License is required.
Our Ideal Candidate – you are determined, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ambitious, analytical, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement, and represent yourself as a positive role model. Additionally, you must be able to complete required new hire orientation class, have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs and possess a valid license.
Physical Requirements: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
Work Environment: Regularly works inside areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuations in temperature. Use of Protective equipment such as latex gloves, facial mask protective eyewear, and gown. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Some degree of physical involvement in exercise of Safe and Positive Approaches.
