Devereux Day Academy is a NEW private academic school program located in Landenberg PA.Devereux Day Academy is licensed to serve students in grades K-8 who have been identified with the following primary disabilities: Intellectual Disability, Autism, Emotional Disturbance, Specific Learning Disability, and Speech or Language Impairment. The core curriculum has been aligned with the Pennsylvania Core Standards, as well as the curricula of our partner school districts. This alignment will facilitate smooth transitions to and from the program for your students. The goal of the curriculum is to provide students with learning experiences that foster increased engagement and success through differentiated instruction, evidence-based instructional strategies, and rigorous learning expectations.

Every day as an Instructional Support Specialist you will:

• Ensuring the health and safety of youth in our school

• Provide assistance with academic, social and behavioral needs.

• Support the teacher and administration's direction while supporting youth and reporting progress daily.

• Implement PBIS to promote a positive school environment

Qualifications

EDUCATION: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred.

EXPERIENCE : Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.
