Qualifications

The successful Internal Auditor candidate will have :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

  • Prior Internal Audit and/or compliance experience in healthcare, human services or education OR minimum 2 years public accounting audit experience.

  • Relevant certification preferred, or going for certification to be completed in two years(CPMA, CPA, CIA, &/or CISA).

  • Experience with control analysis, audit procedures and standards, sampling techniques.

  • Experience working with and knowledge of GAAP.

  • Knowledge of regulatory rules and consequences of non-compliance, such as those for Medicare, Medicaid, Joint Commission, HIPAA, SOX, cost accounting and ICF/MR.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and confidently discuss audit issues with management and develop business focused recommendations to strengthen controls.

  • Ability to prepare clear, concise documentation.

  • Outstanding project management and analytical skills incorporating Best Practices in an efficient manner.
