Based at Devereux’s national headquarters in King of Prussia, PA, and under the direction of the Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer, the Director of Workers’ Compensation/Insurance Operations will be responsible for managing the daily focus on risk management activities, including helping to structure insurance coverages and managing workers’ compensation and professional / general liability claims. You will workwith both internal and external parties on these critical areas, to minimize the impact of operational and financial risk, preparing loss analysis and financial analysis, gathering and analyzing of data, records maintenance and management, and reporting. This position will provide guidance and direction to all Devereux centers on vairous insurance and risk management issues including coverage, policies and procedures, claims and loss prevention/control.
In this key role, you will use your skills and experience to :
Take the lead on oversight and management of workers’ compensation and other insurance claims, to identify preventative strategies and implementation of corrective actions, working with both internal and external parties in bringing these to conclusion;
Recommend and monitor the implementation of risk management policies and procedures including the budgeting and allocation of property & casualty insurance expenses in conjunction with National Legal/Risk Management staff;
Provide Servant Leadership to internal and external staff by promoting and enhancing a culture of safety across the workforce.

The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management; or related technical field. Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Professional Risk Manager (PRM) are highly desirable;
Minimum of Five (5) years’ insurance experience (property, casualty, Workers’ Compensation). Five (5) years’ workers’ compensation claims experience, overseeing high volume workers’ compensation claims. Experience with claims audits and quality control in a claims environment;
Strong background/demonstrated knowledge of corporate financial risk management, insurance products and services, principles and practices of accounting and finance, corporate compliance and regulatory compliance;
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of standard technology and programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) as well as the ability to grasp and apply new ideas and technologies and quickly learn and utilize complex and novel programs and applications. Experience with financial software strongly preferred;
Must have superior writing, oral communication skills, analytical skills and an ability to independently follow up as required;
Requires flexibility and an ability to adapt to the demands of rapidly changing priorities. Must demonstrate use of sound judgement and be able to make quick and accurate decisions independently;
Ability to see the big picture and “connect the dots,” while working independently and also collaborating with leadership, system owners, and center services to meet established deadlines, and identify and prioritize multiple tasks to assure timely completion.
