As our Quality Managment Coordinator at Devereux Georgia YOU will:

  • Work under the supervision of the Quality and Risk Management Director and is responsible for working closely with the team within the Quality and Risk Management Department to implement quality and compliance initiatives and track the same.

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to reviewing, correcting, and following up on assigned RADAR Incident Reports and video reviews.

  • Working collaboratively with Program Managers, Nursing, Campus Supervisor, and Direct Care Staff to ensure accuracy of PEI Logs, Nursing PEI Forms, other related documents.

  • Participates in audits and other complaince activities.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience in a Behavioral Health Care setting in Health Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, or related field; or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Behavioral Health Care setting in Health Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, or related field. Quality Management and/or Project Management experience is preferred.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access to capture, aggregate and graph data. Good presentation skills required.

Physical Requirements:

Lift 50-70 pounds, walk run, stoop, aquat, kneel, push/pull, reach above shoulders, good sight and hearing. Free of dependency and illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants and other chemical substances.

Core Curriculum:

Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Crisis Prevention, Intervation (CP-I) Basic First Aid and valid Drivers License preferred.

Occupational Exposure:

Category I - Category 1 tasks include all procedures or other job-related tasks that involve an inherent potential for skin or mucus membrane contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials, or the potential for spills or splashes of same. Appropiate personal protective equipment will be readily available to all personnel who engage in Category 1 tasks. Minimal exposure to hazardous chemicals/waste.

Professional Skills:

Incident Reviews

  1. Works collaboratively with the Quality Manager to ensure daily review of all incident reports are completed for accuracy

  2. Conducts camera reviews for all incidents involving physical interventions

  3. Ensures accuracy of all documentation related to incident reports

  4. Conducts follow up with parties as necessary to ensure all follow up is complete

  5. Tracks all reviews completed and outcomes

Risk Management

  1. Works in partnership with Risk Manager and Risk Specialist to learn and manage camera system

  2. Establish monitoring process and conduct audits to ensure compliance with external agency funder reports

  3. Works collaboratively with the Risk Manager to complete and submit Funder Reports as requested.


  1. Works in partnership with Quality Manager to track compliance with standards outlined by Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), Department of Community Health (DCH), Office of Provider Management (OPM), Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), and Office of Rules and Regulations (ORCC) via the GA+ Score system and the SHINES system.

  2. Leads or participates in Program Reviews

Supervisor sets clear performance expectations with staff, provides training, and uses prompts, modeling, and management by walking around to promote effective performance. Conducts observations and provides timely feedback and praise or coaching to help staff achieve competency in essential skills. Demonstrates that corrective action and/or development plans are consistently developed, adhered to and appropriate follow-up is taken. Exhibits effective conflict resolution skills and directs team in a fair and supportive manner. Further, demonstrates that human resources policies, procedures, and practices are consistently applied. Demonstrates ability to enhance supervisory / staff communications by documenting that team meetings are conducted and communication occurs consistently with direct reports.

Supervisors ensure competency is maintained by obtaining a minimum of 2 performance monitoring spot checks of their direct reports at minimal scores of 80% in all required New Directions skills.

The following professional skill applies to all Direct Care employees:

Employee received certification in the Center’s New Direction Plan as evidenced by:

  1. Employee passed the New Directions knowledge post-test in each of the modules in the Center’s New Directions Plan at the 80% accuracy level or above.

  2. Employee passed the New Directions performance post-test in each of the modules in the Center’s New Directions Plan at the 100% accuracy level.

  3. Employee demonstrates New Directions skills evidenced by performance monitoring spot checks at a minimal 80% level.

  • Observations scores of less than 80% indicate the employee is performing below expectations.

  • Observations scores of 80% to 89% indicate the employee is performing satisfactorily.

  • Observations scores of 90% or above indicate the employee is performing exceptionally.
