Our Human Services Professionals (HSPs) provide administrative support and case management for individuals and their families in our Community Cottages Program. In addition, you will coordinate intake and discharge plans, work closely with external partners and regulatory agencies in order to successfully provide quality services, assist in the development of individualized service plans and act as a mentor and advocate to the clients we serve. Minimal supervision of our clients while in the unit to include, monitoring, coaching, and re-directing on an as needed basis is required. On-call as needed.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in the field of Counseling, Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology/Sociology, Rehabilitation, Special Education, or Human Services field required. Master's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two (2) years experience in Psychiatric Residential-based Treatment setting and/or Group Home in a Human Services Role required. Previous experience working with individuals living with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or conduct disorders preferred. Knowledge of and completion of the Foundations course and are familiar with Room, Board, Watchful Oversight plans highly preferred; OR the ability to complete the Foundations course requirements and pass a competency exam with a minimum score of 80%.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; relationship management and multi-tasking skills are required.
Strong technical skills and ability to utilize in-house computer applications.
Valid Driver's License required; Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results.
On-call, weekend availability and some holidays required.
Must be able to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily.
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
You must be able to work every other weekend, as required.
The Federal Government COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires most staff working at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia to be vaccinated. In order to be employed at this center in this position, you must:
If vaccinated - provide proof of vaccination prior to start date.
Receive the first dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine or a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine prior to providing any care, treatment, or other services by Dec. 5, 2021; and
The necessary shots to be fully vaccinated – either two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson – by Jan. 4, 2022 .
Note: If you are getting the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you must get this vaccine by Dec. 5, 2021 .
