Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking Full-Time Direct Support Professionals for EVENING AND OVERNIGHT shifts.
Starting pay: $15.50/hr, plus shift differentials
Saturday-Sunday we are adding a shift differential
1 st Shift $3
2 nd Shift $5
3 rd Shift $4
In addition, a $50 bonus will be paid each pay period to those employees who do not call out, arrive late
These rates are subject to change based on Devereux Program and Staffing Needs.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will assist in daily living activities, including emotional and behavior support & management, health and hygiene management, cleaning, and recreational activities for the individuals we serve. You will actively mentor, coach, monitor, re-direct and support our individuals and maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional and personal needs of the population we serve. You will also be responsible for accurate documentation, including, but not limited to, shift reports, incident reports and individual progress reports.
Full-Time schedules - Our full-time DSPs typically work a 40 hour work week, and will have 1 weekday off and every other weekend off (some holidays required).
Hours for 2nd/Evening Shift - 2:30pm to 11:00pm
Hours for 3rd/Overnight Shift - 10:45pm to 7:15am
please note you may be mandated to stay past your scheduled shift to ensure client-to-staff ratio is met.**

EDUCATION: High-school diploma (or equivalent) required; Bachelor's degree preferred; Relevant human services experience preferred. Academic studies in the areas of psychology, human services, sociology, social work, criminal justice, and/or education are highly desirable.
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of human service experience working with children, adolescents preferred. Two (2) years of working experience preferred. Previous experience working with individuals under the age of 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or conduct disorders preferred.
Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong technical skills and comfortable utilizing in-house computer applications for documenting and reporting purposes.
Must be able to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily (lunch is included).
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
The Federal Government COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires most staff working at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia to be vaccinated. In order to be employed at this center in this position, you must:
If vaccinated - provide proof of vaccination prior to start date.
Receive the first dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine or a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine prior to providing any care, treatment, or other services by Dec. 5, 2021; and
The necessary shots to be fully vaccinated – either two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson – by Jan. 4, 2022 .
Note: If you are getting the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you must get this vaccine by Dec. 5, 2021 .
