Being a Program Manager has its Advantages

  • Ensure our individuals are safe, healthy, and living in a clean environment, by overseeing their group home residence.

  • Actively supervise, coach, and mentor Direct Support Professionals that work within the group home.

  • Supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of our individuals.

  • Plan and participate in group outings for our individuals.

  • Manage the shopping for the home’s necessities, such as food, clothing, and household items.

  • Schedule and transport our individuals to doctor’s appointments, shopping trips, and day programs/schools.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New Jersey provides programs and services for adults with intellectual/developmental/behavioral health disabilities. Located in Hillsborough , NJ , this position is responsible for the following: Supervising group home staff, assisting individuals with their daily living, administering medication, adhering to implemented Behavioral Support Plans, medical appointments, household maintenance, electronic documentation, but most of all, assisting our individuals in maximizing their full potential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Sociology, Special Education, Counseling or Psychology.

  • One year of supervisory experience in a child behavioral health care agency.

  • Two years experience working with individuals with disabilities in a community setting preferred.

  • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.

  • Consistently meets deadlines, ability to prioritize, multi-task and flexibility.

  • Willingness to be on-call.

  • Previous experience and knowlege of monitoring and managing fiscal responsibilities of a group home or residential setting.

  • Experience with DDD licensing site visits preferred.
