Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is one of the largest and most advanced behavioral health-care organizations in the country. Nestled near the beaches between the Pacific Coast and Santa Ynez mountains, Devereux California is a therapeutic behavioral health treatment facility offering residential services, community living, day programs, and clinical services for adults with multiple diagnoses, including autistic spectrum disorders, emotional and/or behavioral differences, intellectual and developmental disabilities, dementia and other cognitive disorders.

Located in either Goleta or Lompoc, CA, this position is responsible for participating in financial month end closing, reconciliations, fixed asset record keeping, program profitability analysis, budgeting, reporting projects, ad-hoc analysis, providing rigorous financial analysis for cost statements, and financial planning and analysis. Supports Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and other Finance functions as needed.

*Please note that this position is onsite in either Lompoc or Goleta, CA (we have the office space to accommodate either location)

The Financial Analyst will:

  • Act as a liaison between the Operations and Finance teams by providing Program Leadership with timely financial information and analytics

  • Have a thorough understanding of various funding agency requirements as they relate to operations and reimbursement

  • Serve as a resource/subject matter expert on assigned funders/contracts

  • Work alongside the Director of Finance and Program Leadership to develop annual operational budgets

  • Assure the accuracy of expenses and revenues prior to the monthly close of the general ledger

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual center balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Conduct cost analysis on financial programs and operations

  • Determine financial status and analyze forecast results

  • Resolve accounting errors on a timely basis with documentation

  • Prepare profit and loss models

  • Have strong Data Entry and Reporting skills

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field required.

Experience : Five years’ experience in a related profession required. Must demonstrate sound judgement and an ability to independently follow up, as required. Requires the ability to be adaptable, flexible, and change activities quickly. This position requires self-motivation and outstanding organizational skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must have. Must demonstrate a professional demeanor, and be able to make quick and accurate decisions independently. Must be proficient in Excel and other quantitative tools.
