NEW AUTISM HOME is currently seeking caring, patient and creative people to work as
Direct Support Professionals II (DSP II) providing support to individuals living in a residential setting.
The DSP II is responsible for providing services to persons with mild, moderate and severe disabilities including autism spectrum diagnosis. A DSP II Must have the ability to work with individuals with challenging behaviors. These are part time positions. Available shifts TBD, but general shifts include Mon-Fri 3p-11p, weekend's 7a-3p and 3p-11p, as well as overnight awake shifts from 11p-7a.
Working a minimum of 1 weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) is required in order to be considered for this position.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health California provides programs and services for adults with intellectual and developmental diagnosis. Located in Goleta, CA this position is responsible for ensuring the safety and environment of our clients. In addition to supporting our individuals in self-help skills designed to encourage independence.

High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field.
Must be able to perform all three levels of Devereux's Safe and Positive approaches Interventions
One (1) year of experience working in a related field

Be empathetic, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, energetic, creative, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement, and represent yourself as a positive role model. Additionally, you must be able to complete required training, have a strong passion for working with and helping adults with special needs and possess a valid license.**
Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.**
