Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is one of the largest and most advanced behavioral health-care organizations in the country. Nestled near the beaches between the Pacific Coast and Santa Ynez mountains, Devereux California is a therapeutic behavioral health treatment facility offering residential services, community living, clinical services, and a vocational Day Program for adults with multiple diagnoses, including autistic spectrum disorders, emotional and/or behavioral differences, intellectual and developmental disabilities, dementia and other cognitive disorders. Located in Goleta, CA, this position is responsible for ensuring the safety and environment of our individuals, while supporting them with self-help skills designed to encourage independence.

As a DCP, you will also use your experience and education in Psychology, Sociology, Education or other related field to:

• Actively assist our individuals with their individualized plans for daily living and ensure our individuals are safe, healthy, and living in a clean environment.

• Assist with the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.

• Plan and participate in community outings, and schedule/transport our individuals to doctor’s appointments, shopping trips, and day programs/schools.

• Be a mentor to other staff and conduct observations and provide feedback for required trainings.

General Shifts: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am. One weekend shift per week required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education or other related field, OR High School Diploma with 12 years relevant Human Service experience required. Must have ability to drive and obtain a California Drivers License. Weekend and holiday work required.

Starting pay is $16.25/hr
