This is a position for a caring individual with great organizational skills and with experience providing care to individuals that have moderate and severe disabilities including autism spectrum diagnosis. In all our programs we promote independent living for the individuals we serve as well as opportunities for community inclusion. As a CNA you will work as part of a healthcare team to provide quality ursing care to individuals served.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health has deep roots in the field supporting individuals with disabilities, and offers excellent opportunities for field and professional training and experience to its employees.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist individuals with activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, and incontinence care
Transfers, lifts, moves, and transports individuals using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention
Communicates effectively and tactfully with individuals served, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors
Knowledgeable of individualized care plans and provides support according to the individual's care plan

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, graduate of an approved CNA program, and valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in California.
Experience : Minimum of one year experience as a certified nursing assistant is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess and maintain valid driver's license.
