We are seeking a FT Learning Specialist to provide direct delivery of instruction and curriculum to all levels of staff within our Children's Behavioral Health Division. This division provides Psychiatric residential treatment and education services to adolescents who experience behavioral and psychiatric challenges, often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments.
Key words: Training, learning, organizational development, professional development
Education - Bachelor’s degree in behavioral healthcare, learning and development or related field. Master’s degree a plus.
Experience – Three or more years of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting with a focus on staff training and development. Applicants should have certification and/or experience delivering formal training in such areas as Crisis Prevention and Intervention, Positive Behavior Supports, Supportive Behavioral Supervision or other behavioral treatment related topics. Additional expertise in related areas such as CPR, Emergency Procedures, OSHA standards - Hazard Surveillance, Infection Control, etc. a plus.
