Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Residential Program Manager: Eagleview/Cottages in Glenmoore, Pennsylvania


Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health's Brandywine Programs is seeking a FT Program Manager. The Brandywine Programs provide Psychiatric Residential Treatment Services for youth ages 7-18+ yrs. with emotional and behavior disorders located in Glenmoore, PA. This is generally M-F schedule with varying hours and some weekends and on call (flexibility required).

The Program Manager reports to the Program Director and is responsible to:

Plan and implement residential program services for assigned clients. Assists in providing supervision of program supervisors and staff as they provide care and supervision for clients in program activities and leisure time, on and off facility grounds. Ensures a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of program clients. Provides leadership, guidance and support to staff in assigned program. Assists and acts in the absence of the Program Director in areas involving staffing, program delivery, financial management, regulatory compliance, and integration with the treatment team.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Provides for and/or ensures the supervision of direct care staff & program supervisors. Supervision includes conducting skill observations, staff schedules, making/changing work assignments as needed, providing feedback regarding on-the-job performance, work performance monitoring and accountability including documentation review, and/or relaying performance information to the Program Director.

  • Provides supervision and training of crisis prevention and intervention services in accordance with Devereux S&PA standards. Models and utilizes appropriate and approved therapeutic interactions skills with clients.

  • Ensures incident reports and Emergency Safety Intervention (ESI) documentation according to established time frames. Communicates to parents and/or agency representatives in the event of any significant and/or reportable incidents.

  • Ensures that program staff comply with all regulatory, organizational, and center standards of care. Ensures the safe and effective delivery and documentation of treatment services for all clients in assigned program.

  • Participates in the scheduling and implementation of orientation of new employees to include familiarizing new employees with policies, procedures and operational practices. Helps ensure that all employees are properly trained to perform position responsibilities in a safe and effective manner.

  • Assists in the development and management of program fiscal budget. Shares resources across the campus/center as needed. Implements financial strategies that coincide with organizational and center goals.

  • Assists the Program Director in all matters related to program operations and serves in their stead when the Program Director is temporarily unavailable.

  • Maintains compliance with all training/learning requirements and takes initiative in seeking opportunities for professional growth.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two year of supervisory experience required.
