Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Behavioral Health Services (CBHS) focuses its efforts on intensive services for at-risk children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences. CBHS operates multiple services lines to include: Inpatient Acute Care Psych, Psychiatric Residential Treatment and Community Based Services.

We are currently seeking a PRTF Admissions and Utilization Administrator who will be responsible for the pursuit, coordination, review, negotiation, maintenance, and processing of agency and managed care contracts for the PRTF, In-patient, and Community Based services. Responsible for answering inquiries related to all contracts and accounts. This position will be based out of an office on the Brandywine Campus located in Glenmoore, PA.

Specific functions of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Effectively negotiates rates and contract language with different types of funding entities, including Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), federal and state agencies, school districts, local agencies or others, while ensuring Corporate agreement.

  • Develop, negotiate and maintain contracts with all payers, including researching territories to identify gaps in our payer base and supporting the expansion into new markets. Assists in the development, implementation and selection process of Requests for Proposal (RFP), Invitations to Negotiate (ITN) or Request for Application (RFA) or Requests for Quotes, etc. Participates in responding to solicitations for proposals (i.e. Invitations to Negotiate/Request for Proposals, etc.)

  • Proofs applications and contracts received and/or prepares and sends applications and contracts to all funding agencies in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Monitors contracts to ensure Devereux is following all regulatory requirements.

  • Maintains current copies of licensure at center and forwards copies to Corporate for facility contracting and credentialing purposes.

  • Performs the follow-up necessary to ensure the receipt of fully executed contracts for facility files. Assures the accurate and timely addition of event rules in the electronic accounts receivable system to reflect current contracted rates.

  • Accurately gathers information, prepares and distributes reports. Assists with collection efforts as they relate to contract issues, attends, and actively participate in Accounts Receivable meetings.

  • Creates/Maintains a contracts database ensuring contract renewal and reporting mechanisms are followed.

  • Participates in the RFP process to ensure the center is programmatically and fiscally capable of fulfilling contract.

  • Provides assistance, and serves as additional support, to the Center Admissions Department, as needed, inclusive of: answering the phone, explanation of admissions processes, and communication to referral sources, interviews, evaluations, tours, data management, referral packet reviews, authorizations, pre-cert activities, document collection, and other duties.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree or licensed nurse. Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years previous experience in a behavioral healthcare setting. Previous experience in utilization review and/or admissions. Two years of previous supervisory experience.. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines. Valid driver's license must be maintained.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires sitting 1/4 - 3/4 of the work day. Requires walking, standing, and stooping/bending (0 –1/4 of the workday). Seldom requires lifting 5 - 20 pounds. Continuous use of office equipment often requiring repetitive wrist/hand movement, and vision (3/4 – 4/4 of the work day). Range of hearing and vision sufficient to operate standard office machines and communicate with co-workers and stakeholders in person and via telephone. Seldom drives a Devereux vehicle or van (0-1/4 of the workday). Continuously works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuations in temperature.
