Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree required. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and have a license to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

  • Requires a minimum of three (3) years nursing experience in a healthcare facility, preferably working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or psychiatric illnesses.

  • One year of supervisory experience required.

  • Valid Driver's License required and must be over the age of 21.

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
