Brandywine Eagleview Program is located in Glenmoore, PA and has a Full Time 11-7am shift available.
The Brier Program is a Residential Treatment Facility for males ages 8-12 years with emotional and behavioral conduct disorders.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring adolescents are safe, healthy and living in a clean environment.
Assisting, supporting and instructing adolescents in self-help skills designed to encourage independence.
Establishing and maintaining a therapeutic rapport with adolescents
Accompanying adolescents on community life outings, medical appointments and other recreational activities.
This position may involve working with a child/adolescent with Disruptive behavior disorders including: conduct, oppositional defiant, attention deficit hyperactivity, post-traumatic stress, intermittent explosive, and affective disorders or History of sexual/physical abuse, school refusal, psychotic symptoms and fears/anxieties interfering with social functioning, moderate to severe psychiatric disorders, Neurological impairments, developmental disabilities, pervasive developmental disorders & Aspergers.

Devereux PA Children's Behavioral Health Services operates several locations throughout Chester and Delaware counties in Pennsylvania. We offer a contemporary continuum of mental health care including an Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital, Residential Treatment Facilities and an Approved Private School.

High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field.
One (1) year of human service experience working with children, adolescents, and adults required.

Additionally, you must be able to complete required new hire orientation class, have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs and possess a valid license.**
Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.**
Regularly works inside areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuations in temperature. Use of Protective equipment such as latex gloves, facial mask protective eyewear, and gown. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Some degree of physical involvement in exercise of Safe and Positive Approaches.**
