The Program Supervisor position is currently available for CBHS Brandywine Program with a schedule that includes Monday through Friday 3pm - 11pm.

Devereux Children's Behavioral Health Services is currently seeking a Program Supervisor, located in Glenmoore, PA. This program provides psychiatric residential treatment and education services for adolescent males ages 8-18 years who experience behavioral and psychiatric challenges, often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environment

As a Program Supervisor at Devereux’s Brandywine Programs you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. The Program Supervisor is responsible to plan and implement residential program services for assigned clients. Assists in providing supervision of clients in program activities and leisure time, on and off facility grounds. Maintains a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of program clients. Provides leadership, guidance and support to staff in assigned program.

What is Devereux doing to support and protect the health and safety of our staff during the COVID-19 pandemic?

  • Establishing enhanced cleaning and disinfection across all campuses and sites

  • Implementing social distancing protocols across all programs

  • Using PPE, including masks, gloves and gowns as indicated by the CDC

  • Ensuring daily temperature and symptom screenings for all staff and clients

Throughout the pandemic, Devereux has also supported the physical and financial health of our dedicated team members - our very own Healthcare Heroes. A variety of options have been implemented over time to support our staff, including the provision of:

  • Ongoing dedication bonuses, as well as sign-on bonuses, for direct support professionals (DSP) and other staff members

  • Flexible schedules, remote working where possible, and redeployment between programs and services

  • Hazard pay for those supporting quarantined individuals and shelter away services to frontline staff, when needed, to mitigate spread to families

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services discipline to include but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation, criminal justice, counseling; and a minimum of two years direct care experience; OR 60 college credits from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline (as described above), and three years direct care experience. Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

  • If you are in a non-direct role or working with Adults and applying for this position, you will be required to complete the Diana Screen. At this time, those who are already in a direct role working with children applying for another direct role working with children do not need to complete the screen_ .

The IDEAL candidate will... Be empathetic, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, energetic, creative, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement, and represent yourself as a positive role model. Additionally, you must be able to complete eight days of new hire orientation class, have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs and possess a valid license.

Physical Requirements: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
