Starting Rate at $55,280.80 with emergency waiver licensure up to 65,213 with professional licensure relative experience and higher education.

Public school schedule: Monday - Friday with paid holidays

$3,000 sign on bonus

The Devereux CARES (Center for Autism Resources and Education Services) School in Fitchburg, MA is a small private special education school that supports students ages 5- 22 with Autism Spectrum Disorders, developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, and social skills deficits. Our primary goal is to teach functional and pro-social skills that can be easily generalized to the student’s community and home. There is a strong emphasis on functional communication and skill acquisition using Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support. At The CARES School, students learn academic, social, daily living, and independent living skills, as well as community and vocational skill development. Students works in the community at Subway, Ron Bouchard’s Car Dealership, and The Gardener’s Spot.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Bachelors degree required

  • At least 1 year of experience in relevant environments with Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support Strategies preferred

  • MASS DESE Certified or eligible to get in future, required
