Exempt position, $49,137 - $56,016.93 /year

Rate will be determined by education and relative experinece in the field.

With a ratio of 1 staff to 2 students, we are able to offer specialized care to these young people with emphasis on teaching daily living and coping skills.

You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. You would be responsible for the overall daily operations of a group home including program development, supervision of residential staff, management of program budget, integration of community opportunities for youth, and assurance of quality of milieu services.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Massachusetts is located in Rutland, MA and serves students with complex mental health and behavioral challenges. This position is located in Fitchburg, MA and is responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned and provides and ensures therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Must have valid drivers license

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Sociology, Special Education, Counseling or Psychology, OR a high school diploma with 12 years relevant Human Services experience can be substitued

  • 3 years exp in residential setting, 1 in a supervisory role required

Schedule:

  • 2 week orientation Monday - Friday from 8-4pm in Rutland

  • Exempt position Monday - Friday day shift proceeding orientation; 9-5pm

  • On-call rotation every 6-8 weeks

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
