The Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES) is an educational program licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that provides services to students, ages five to 21, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. CARES provides an environment that focuses on teaching each student based on his or her unique strengths and needs. Programming is focused on increasing independence for each student
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The DianaScreen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Pennsylvania Instructional I Certification required.
EXPERIENCE: Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders
Preferred. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms
(Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks
simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines. Valid driver's license must be maintained.
