Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health General Maintenance Support in Downingtown, Pennsylvania

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health's Center for Autism Research and Educational Services (CARES) Program, located in Downingtown, PA serves up to 60 children, ages 5 through 21, with a confirmed primary diagnosis of Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder.

The Maintenance Support position would perform housekeeping and/or facilities duties as assigned within the building and grounds of the CARES program. This would include:

-Cleaning and light maintenance work such as simple repairs, moving furniture, hanging pictures, plumbing issues, etc.

-Maintain equipment and tools in proper working condition and ensures proper storage.

-Ensures economical and efficient use of materials.

-Ensures that adequate supplies are available to complete work assignments and prepares monthly supply order.

-Ensures that supplies and equipment are stored in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

-Develops and implements a routine schedule of assigned activities.

-Maintains cleanliness of assigned areas in accordance with established standards and regulatory guidelines.

-Adheres to OSHA standards.

-Performs non-scheduled floor duties as needed.

-Remains aware of safety and building regulations in performing repairs, replacements, etc.

-Maintains cleanliness of assigned areas in accordance with established standards and regulatory guidelines.

-Uses Personal Protective Equipment to limit exposure to potentially hazardous substances and blood borne pathogens.

EDUCATION: Trade or High School Diploma /GED

EXPERIENCE: Training requires at least two years commercial housekeeping experience, preferably in a health care setting. Knowledge of general maintenance activities is essential. Must be twenty-one (21) year of age to drive Devereux vehicles and maintain a valid PA drivers license. Two years related experience
