Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Dental Business Office Manager in Devon, Pennsylvania

Devereux’s Southeastern PA Dental Facility is located in West Chester, PA and provides comprehensive dental treatment to the residential population at Devereux. We are seeking a full-time Dental Office Manager with past experience in dental management software systems (currently using Dentrix Enterprise) and experience in coordinating a busy dental office. Front-end office responsibilities include: scheduling, appointments verification, preauthorizing, insurance verification, accounts receivable, electronic claims submission, importing documents, and maintenance of electronic dental record. The Dental Department provides dental treatment for individuals with emotional, behavioral, and intellectual disabilities ranging in age from school age through geriatrics.

Reporting to the managing Dentist, the selected candidate will:

  • Serve as a liaison between the Dental Office and the Center’s personnel, with frequent contact with the nurses, medical schedulers, and transportation

  • Schedule dental appointments and track no-shows; respond to inquiries and maintain reports

  • Collection, data entry and maintenance of medical and dental information in electronic health record (EHR) format

  • Perform Insurance verification, electronic claim submission, insurance pre-authorizations and assist in appeals

  • Maximize reimbursement by maintaining client records, patient billing and communication with internal/external customers

  • Organize and maintain Dental Office information systems and prepare reports utilizing those systems;

  • Have front desk responsibility and coordination of general office operations; Schedule patients and track no-shows; Respond to customer inquiries and maintain reports to maximize patient flow;

Qualifications

  • Requires excellent computer, customer service, written and verbal communication and organizational skills, preferably in a healthcare environment

  • Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate and interact with internal and external customers

  • Experience with dental software management program preferably Dentrix

  • Minimum of one year dental front office experience

  • Experience with State Medicaid dental insurance plan claims submission process and accounts receivable preferred

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma; Additional training in computers and dental software preferred

  • Experience working with individuals in a mental health / behavioral health environment helpful
