Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Florida provides outpatient counseling services to children and their families. Based out of Deland, FL and covering cases throughout Volusia and Flagler Counties, this position is responsible for travelling out into the community to collaborate with schools, communities, CBC's, and DCF for referrals who are in need of therapeutic services with an interactive approach. It will conducts therapy sessions and participate in the development of the individualized master treatment plan, provides individual, family and group counseling, and completes required clinical documentation. The position also works within a multidisciplinary team to review the client's treatment, goals, progress and future needs.

This role works on an incentive pay model with base exempt salary plus accelerators for billiable hours. The minimum hours required each week is set at $3,100 each 2-week billing period. Cases are provided by the leadership team. Pay model will be discussed during interview process.

Education and Licensure:

  • Master's degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or human services field required OR must have related major that has at least four of the following thirteen content areas: human growth and development, diagnosis and treatment of psychopathology, human sexuality, counseling theories and techniques, group theories and practice, dynamics of marriage and family systems, individual evaluation and assessment, career and lifestyle assessment, research and program evaluation, personality theories, social and cultural foundations, counseling in community settings, or substance abuse.

  • Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida a plus but is not required.


  • Two years' experience working directly with children, adolescents and families OR working related experience working under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician


  • Must be able to complete a three day new hire orientation class (Monday - Wednesday); hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day

Other Requirements:

  • Valid FL State Issued Driver's license
