The Youth Therapist reports directly to the Lead Youth Therapist. The position requires some flexibility and on-call responsibilities. The Youth Therapist is a remote position, but requires travel to the Treatment Homes at least once a week to provide individual therapy.

Salary: $55,000-$60,000

What Devereux Looks for in YOU:

  • Coordinating the planning, development and delivery of therapy services to include individual and group therapy within a treatment home environment

  • Providing clinical services to clients and families to ensure that they are receiving appropriate, outcome based, and cost effective treatment services.

  • Maintaining familiarity with all aspects of the client treatment plan and providing updates and/or new information to Clinical Supervisor.

  • Collaborating on the development of clinically appropriate aftercare plans in collaboration with treatment team, client, family, agency representatives, advocates, and community resources.

  • Providing accurate, professionally written clinical documentation (progress notes, discharge summaries, assessments etc.) in accordance with regulations, standards and as directed by supervisor.

* *Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related clinical discipline.

  • Valid New Jersey LSW, LAC, LCSW and LPC

  • One year experience working with youth and/or families.

  • One year of clinical work in a behavioral health setting.

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High level of initiative, accountability and professionalism.

  • Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to multi task and be deadline driven.

  • Must pass the Diana Screen
