Devereux New Jersey is seeking Part-time Board Certified Behavior Analysts to be part of our Devereux Consultants and work with children and youth in their own homes throughout Southern New Jersey. Hours of services can beday, evening or weekends to accommodate the schedules of working families

What Devereux looks for in YOU:

  • Provide direct instruction, training or consultation services to support a wide range of needs in individuals diagnosed with autism, intellectual and/or developmental disorders, pervasive developmental disorder, social or emotional disturbance and other significant behavioral disorders.

  • Work collaboratively with parents, families, teachers or agency staff to develop a plan that builds on each individual’s strengths, needs and preferences.

  • Build communication skills, independence and quality of life of each individual by teaching him/her new skills and behaviors which also decrease the occurrence of frustration, failure and challenging behaviors.

  • Provide functional behavioral assessments, staff or parent training, program consultation, behavior support planning, and individually-focused skill programs based on the needs of each individual.

Governor Murphy’s Executive Order 283 COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires unvaccinated staff without a medical or religious exemption requires the following:

  • Must receive the first dose prior to their start date , if you are receiving a 2 dose vaccine, your second dose is three weeks after your first dose.

  • You will also need to receive your booster shot by 3/30 or within 3 weeks of becoming eligible based on CDC guidelines, whichever is later. Currently those guidelines call for booster shots 5 months after receiving the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or 2 months after receiving the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The order requires all staff eligible receive the booster to be considered up to date on their vaccinations.

  • If you are already fully vaccinated, you will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to starting.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Education: Master's degree in ABA, psychology, special education or related field. Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) required.


  • Must have strong applied behavior analysis skills and significant experience working with children/adolescents/adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorders.

  • Significant experience writing Positive Behavior support plans and conducting FBAs, and training staff also required.

  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Valid driver’s license must be maintained.
