The Administrative Specialist reports to directly to the Executive Assistant and is located in our Cherry Hill office in Cherry Hill, NJ.

salary range: $45,000- $48,000

What Devereux Looks for in YOU:

  • Providing daily support to the Assistant Executive Director

  • Serving as co-chair of the Policy and Procedure Committee

  • Working directly with members of Senior Management, and negotiate and oversee contracts for statewide services (e.g. Shred-it, Pitney Bowes, Artic Coolers).

  • Preparing, proofreading and editing minutes, communications, and presentations as required.

  • Coordinating events or projects as delegated.

Governor Murphy’s Executive Order 283 COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires unvaccinated staff without a medical or religious exemption requires the following:

  • Must receive the first dose prior to their start date , if you are receiving a 2 dose vaccine, your second dose is three weeks after your first dose.

  • You will also need to receive your booster shot by 3/30 or within 3 weeks of becoming eligible based on CDC guidelines, whichever is later. Currently those guidelines call for booster shots 5 months after receiving the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or 2 months after receiving the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The order requires all staff eligible receive the booster to be considered up to date on their vaccinations.

  • If you are already fully vaccinated, you will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to starting.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • High School Diploma, Bachelors preferred.

  • Minimum of five years experience in a high level administrative/secretarial role.

  • Must have advanced computer skills and software knowledge with MS Office and other relevant software programs.

  • Proficiency with SharePoint preferred.

  • Able to interact with other employees and the public on a professional level.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to multi-task and manage large levels of information in a fast paced environment

  • Strong time management skills – sense of urgency, responsiveness in meeting deadlines

  • Problem solving and solution seeking

  • Excellent attention to detail
