Devereux's Community Adult Autism Partnership Program (CAAPP), based in Wayne, PA, provides community-based programming for young adults diagnosed with Autism (21+ years) who have aged out of the educational system. Services are delivered across community, home and work environments to support individuals in becoming productive, socially-connected and personally fulfilled members of their local community.

As a Program Director at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. The responsibilities for this position also include developing, administering and coordinating program operations to provide a safe, therapeutic environment as well as services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The Program Director is also responsible for ensuring evidenced-based practices are used in a financially prudent manner, positively contributing to the Center’s financial picture.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, Administration, Psychology or related fields.

EXPERIENCE:Five years’ experience in a supervisory position preferrably in a health care organization which provides servcies toindividuals with intellectual, developmental and behavioral disabilities. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft OfficeMust possess and maintain valid driver's license, and be at least 21 years of age.

Be empathetic, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, energetic, creative, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement, and represent yourself as a positive role model. Additionally, you must be able to complete eight days of new hire orientation class, have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs and possess a valid license.Physical Requirements: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
