Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Clinician BCBA in West Chester, Pennsylvania

Devereux CIDDS is looking for a Clinician to work in our program in West Chester, PA.

Children’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Services (CIDDS) serves children, adolescents and young adults from birth to 21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, as well as behavioral and emotional disorders. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care in the environment best suited to the challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community. CIDDS services include two Approved Private Day Schools, community-based mental health services, community based employment training and social skills training, therapeutic foster care and a full-time residential program.

Responsibilities include :

  • Provides assessment, therapy, and consultation services within a residential treatment setting to children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and significant behavioral concerns.

  • Also works with the families of individuals to provide behavioral parent training to promote successful discharge home. Coordinates clinical services with the multi-disciplinary team.

  • Attends treatment team and interagency meetings as needed. Documents service delivery as required by funders and regulations.Provides assessment, therapy, and consultation services within a residential treatment setting to children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and significant behavioral concerns.

  • Also works with the families of individuals to provide behavioral parent training to promote successful discharge home.

  • Be a role model for all staff and clients

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work.

  • Clinical Internship and one year relevant experience working with children and adolescents in a residential setting required.

  • Current valid independent or associate license to practice in state with no restrictions preferred. Maintains license as indicated.

  • Proficient computer skills and a working knowledge of software programs (i.e. Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc).
