Devereux New Jersey touches the lives of nearly 400 children, adolescents, adults, and their families with special needs, from outside the New York skyline to the Southern New Jersey shoreline. Individuals with emotional, behavioral, and developmental disabilities are served via a broad spectrum of treatment settings including community-based homes and apartments, vocational training programs, family care homes, and consulting services.

This position will be located in Sussex County, New Jersey

As a Youth Therapist you will Inspire hope and Empower lives by:

  • Coordinating the planning, development, and delivery of therapy services to include individual therapy.

  • Providing clinical services to clients and families to ensure that they are receiving appropriate, outcome based, and cost effective treatment services.

  • Maintaining familiarity with all aspects of the client treatment plan and providing updates and/or new information to Clinical Supervisor.

  • Collaborating on the development of clinically appropriate aftercare plans in collaboration with treatment team, client, family, agency representatives, advocates, and community resources.

  • Providing accurate, professionally written clinical documentation (progess notes, discharge summaries, assessments etc.) in accordance with regulations, standards and as directed by supervisor.

  • Remaining up to date on annual training, certifications, and licensure.

A Youth Therapist role with Devereux will offer you:

Requirements

The accomplished individual will possess:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related clinical discipline.

Valid New Jersy LAC or LSW Preferred. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCADC or Licensed Clinical Psychologist.

  • Two years of working with youth and/or families.

  • One year of clinical work in a behavioral health setting.

  • Experience providing in-community treatment preferred.

  • Comfortable traveling at least 75% for assigned caseload.

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High level of initiative, accountability and professionalism.

  • Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to multi task and be deadline driven.
