Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Massachusetts / Rhode Island is seeking a full-time HR Specialist, based out of Rutland MA, to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources department. This position is ideal for a customer service oriented professional who is organized, works well independently and in a team, and is interested in developing their career in Human Resources. Also, sense of humor is a must with our team – we work hard, but we still have fun!
As an HR Specialist at Devereux, you will :
Use your organizational and multi-tasking skills to enter employee data into our HR systems, maintain employee files, facilitate pre-hire paperwork and schedule pre-hire physicals, TB tests, and fingerprint appointments, process background checks for potential and existing employees, collect and maintain driving records, schedule job interviews, and maintain credentialing related to professional licenses and education.
Use your customer service skills to conduct exit & stay interviews, obtain employee verifications and references, plan and attend internal and external job fairs along with other various recruiting events, and coordinate employee recognition activities and events.
Use your creative skills to assist in the preparation of our employee newsletter, assist in managing our social networking sites with announcements, approved graphics, events, etc., and post open positions on college websites, professional sites and various job boards.
Ultimately, provide any additional support needed by other members of our HR dept.

Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Human Resources required.
Educational requirement may be replaced by at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office. Previous database experience, specifically HRIS, preferred.

Valid driver's license.
