Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Massachusetts is seeking an Assistant Clinical Director to provide clinical consultation, support and supervision to several Clinical Supervisors who are responsible for the delivery of care for clients in their assigned programs. Based out of Rutland MA, we provide clinical and educational services to children and adolescents with special emotional, behavioral and educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorders. We provide individualized, strength-based treatment and education within a supportive, multidisciplinary continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Supervise the Clinical Supervisors who oversee the services provided by the clinicians. Provides direction, clinical consultation and supervision to Clinical Supervisors and maintains supervision records per Devereux standards. Accompany Clinicians or Clinical Supervisors to multi-disciplinary meetings with external agencies as needed. Serve as a supplemental supervisor for interns. Coordinate equitable distribution of case assignments and ensures clinical coverage across all programs (may need to carry a small caseload when necessary). Delegate assignments to ensure the most effective completion of tasks and assumes responsibility for outcome. Develop and empower others to take ownership of their work.**

Quality Management

  • Assume primary responsibility for ensuring that clinical services are being provided per Devereux and funder standards by monitoring service delivery to ensure that clients are receiving clinically appropriate, outcome based, and cost effective treatment services. Assist Program Directors/Managers in ensuring that direct care employees deliver services in a manner consistent with the program model and individual treatment plans. Stays current with trends in the field and champions for the development and implementation of treatment modalities that enhance the Center’s programs and services.**

Administrative

  • Attend Case Reviews and CCMs as needed. Schedule trainings and help run clinical staff meetings. Assist Clinical Director with auditing of clinical documentation.**

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree required

  • Massachusetts Licensed Psychologist and clinical supervisory certificate to provide supervision.

  • At least 2 years of progressively responsible human services experience, providing clinical services, supervising services and/or coordinating clinical services.

  • Training and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-informed Treatment Interventions, and/or Positive Behavioral Supports and Interventions preferred; opportunities for training in these areas available.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent training and supervision skills, and strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and perform in an ever-changing, fast paced and demanding environment.

  • Experience with Electronic Health Records is a plus.
