Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse / RN in Newfoundland, Pennsylvania

As a Registered Nurse at Devereux, you will :

  • Assess patients; collect and document the patients current health status and medical history. Perform both direct patient care (i.e.. medication administration), as well as indirect patient care (i.e.. giving thorough, concise report at change of shift).

  • Maintain documentation related to ESI (emergency safety intervention), QPRT assessments (suicide prevention method), nursing shift progress notes, lab slips, and related nursing procedures.

  • Participate in and assist with the initial treatment plan and the treatment planning process.

  • Communicate with members of the treatment team information related to the client's medical care and behavior.

  • Most importantly, make a POSITIVE IMPACT on our clients and families!

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a Graduate of an approved school of Nursing. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state. Experience: Previous Professional experience in a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.**

Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Work Environment:

Regularly works inside areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuations in temperature. Use of Protective equipment such as latex gloves, facial mask protective eye wear, and gown.
