Speech and Language Pathologist responsibilities:

  • Administers assessments to determine communication strengths and needs of our individuals on an annual basis.

  • Develops individual education program (IEP) goals in the area of speech, creating strategies to improve communication skills, including the use of alternative and augmentative supports.

  • Provides guidance and direction to educational staff by sharing information, providing feedback and training, and engaging staff in generalizing intervention strategies.

  • Provides individual and group instruction to students designed to increase communication competency. Engages students in learning, provides specific and timely feedback to students, and assesses progress.

  • Effectively communicates student progress to educational staff, parents/guardians and home school district, responds to parental concerns engaging the family in the instructional process

Requirements

To qualify, we require:

  • Master's degree in a Speech Pathology with Certificate in Clinical Competency (CCC) or possess education and experience necessary to gain certification plus State Department of Education certification.

We will consider SLPs in need of hours as a Clinical Fellow and TSSLDs.
