Devereux's Day School in Malvern, PA is hiring Full-Time, Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to work 7am - 3pm Monday - Friday.
This position will work during the Summer ESY program as well.

As a School Support Counselor, you would work one-on-one with an individuals and be responsible for providing quality care and motivation to individuals along with maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment during on and off school programming.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Serving as a positive role model, applying approved behavior management techniques designed to encourage appropriate social behavior.
Utilizing appropriate and approved therapeutic interactions skills, specifically, Building Relationships, Listening, Praising Effectively, Making Requests, and Leading Activities.
Observing, documenting, and reporting to the appropriate supervisor, noticeable changes in individual's behaviors and/or health conditions.
Assisting with classwork and provides supervision during testing. May assist in correcting student papers/tests.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in an area of human services, which includes, sociology, psychology, criminal justice, etc. AND one (1) year of human service experience OR two (2) years of direct care experience and a high school diploma or GED required, 12 semester credit hours highly preferred in sociology, psychology, criminal justice, special education, etc. from an approved educational program.**

Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes.
