Works directly with clients while safely and accurately preparing and administering medications.
Complies with regulatory and facility policies on medication consents.
Teaches clients about medications and medication management.
Accurately monitors and documents medication administration, monitors medication effects and adverse reactions according to facility protocol and reports concerns to the RN on duty.
Is knowledgeable of psychoactive medications and promptly recognizes adverse reactions and implements appropriate intervention measures. Reports actual/potential medication errors per facility procedure; actively engages in medication error reduction practices.

Must have medication administration certification and be able to work a flexible schedule including weekend hours.
Minimum of two years of college in a degree-seeking program, preferably in a human services field.
Prefer BA degree in a human services field.
Can substitute one year of related experience for the education requirement.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
