JOB TITLE: Residence Counselor II - Assists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the residence program

Will implement the daily operation of the assigned residence.*E 2. Will implement ITP/Treatment Team goal methodologies and data collection.*E 3. Will maintain mandated OPWDD medication certification and will dispense medication as assigned.*E 4. Will be prepared for and attend ITP and Treatment Team meetings. Ensures implementation of Treatment Team procedure. 5. Responsible for student / resident safety and supervision as well as ensuring student / resident rights. 6. Completes recreational lesson plans as required. Submits community trip requests to Residence Manager. 7. Ensures all required documentation is completed, which includes, but is not limited to, daily logs, behavior incident reports, staff communication logs. 8. Collects ITP data and completes ITP documentation. 9. Responsible for assigned set of residence keys in absence of Residential Manager.10. Provides transportation of residents to medical appointments. Reports all relevant medical information to appropriate parties. Provides supervision and assistance during the medical appointment.Other Responsibilities Include:1. Completes household tasks as assigned.2. Assists in new staff orientation.3. Assumes areas of specialty of vacant Residence Counselor as designated by Residence Director.4. Adheres to structures and routines developed by the Residence Director / Residence Manager.5. May be assigned parent/legal guardian liaison for assigned residence as directed by Residential Manager / Residence Director.6. Will be responsible to maintain Driver's Certification. This includes: participating in classroom defensive driver training, passing a written test, passing a road test and updating a driver abstract every two years.7. Responsible for student / resident clothing and property inventories.8. Assist with student / resident behavioral needs.9. Will complete weekly residence item inventory and request replacement items and/or completes missing item report.10. Will perform related duties, special assignments and projects as requested.11. Requests staple food items per procedure. Insures kitchen staple items are appropriately dated and stored.12. Demonstrates that corrective action and/or development plans are consistently written, adhered to and that appropriate follow up is taken. Further, demonstrates that human resources policies, procedures, and practices are consistently applied. Demonstrates ability to enhance supervisory / staff communications by documenting that team meetings are conducted and communication occurs consistently with direct reports.
