Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Licensed Vocational Nurse - Weekends in Goleta, California

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health California is seeking caring, compassionate, and detail oriented Licensed Vocational Nurses for our weekend shift.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing care to individual at our 15-bed residential facility. The Weisman Program is a Specialized (113) Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) that will provide supportive care for individuals over age 59 in a home like setting. The goal of this home will be to support individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Emotional/Behavioral disorders and/or Psychiatric Disorders who additionally have more intensive medical needs. These individuals may also need additional support managing behavioral issues.

This position is located in Goleta, CA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Measure and record patients’ vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration;

  • provide basic patient care or treatments, such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, massaging, or performing catheterizations;

Requirements

EDUCATION:

Must be a graduate of a Licensed Vocational Nursing Program and have a valid License to practice as LVN in California

EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience preferred.**

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Regularly requires lifting/moving weight of up to 10lbs, frequently lift/move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.**
