Devereux's Advanced Children Behavioral Health Services is seeking a full-time, Learning Specialist to assist in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the Center’s staff training programs. The Learning Specialist will also provide support for program directors, department heads and other supervisors relative to staff performance of learned skills.
Applicants must have direct and significant experience in a learning/training capacity in one or more of the following service lines for children and adolescents: residential treatment, inpatient treatment, or community-based services.
Successful candidates will have the demonstrated ability to facilitate and conduct instructor-led training.
Learning Specialists are responsible for documenting employee training hours and reporting compliance to respective program directors and department heads.
Devereux Advanced Children's Behavioral Health Services (CBHS) provides a range of programs and services for at-risk children and adolescents with a wide range of mental, emotional and behavioral challenges. Educationally, the Learning Specialist should possess at least a bachelor’s degree in behavioral healthcare, learning and development or related field. In addition, applicants should possess at least two years of experience conducting field-related training.
Applicants must have certification in CPR and Crisis Prevention/Intervention with certification in Devereux’s Safe and Positive Approaches preferred.
Additional expertise in related areas such as Emergency Procedures, OSHA standards - Hazard Surveillance, Infection Control, etc. a plus.
