Devereux PA Adult Services provides care and residential living to nearly 400 adults with intellectual and developmental challenges in homes, apartments and a long-term care community in southeastern Pennsylvania. We are currently seeking a

Program Supervisor

for a 2 Community Residential Homes located in Devon, PA. The Program Supervisor will be responsible to direct the daily operation of assigned residential facility(s) to assure quality services that meet the therapeutic, social, emotional, health, and safety needs of the Individuals, in accordance with Devereux Philosophy of Care, established Center Procedures, Standards of Conduct, Best Practices, and regulatory requirements. Collaborates with Center Leadership to oversee residential program leaders and residential staff to ensure Individuals are safe, healthy, and living in a clean environment. Consults with Human Resources on employee relations, recruitment, and retention.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing quality care and motivation to clients.

  • Supervising Direct Support Professionals.

  • Maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment.

  • Implementing programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical and personal needs of clients.

  • Ensuring clients are safe, healthy and living in a clean environment.

  • Assisting, supporting and instructing individuals in self-help skills designed to encourage independence.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in an area of human services, which includes sociology, psychology, criminal justice, etc.

Must be certified as a Brain Injury Specialist or become certified within twelve (12) months of initial date of employment.

At least three (3) years experience working directly with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and/or TBI.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft Office applications.

Must possess and maintain valid driver's license

Be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.**
