Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health's Vocational programs provides employment and job training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The program is located in Devon, PA and offers a range of skill development, job tasks and instruction in the areas of packaging, floral design, silkscreening, automotive, horticulture, etc.

We are seeking a Work/Employment Trainer to provide direct instruction, supervision and coaching.. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in assessing Individuals' vocational skills through use of Center approved evaluations, interest surveys, observation, and through consultation with appropriate Interdisciplinary Team members.

  • Maintaining records of daily attendance, hours worked, and Individual's productivity.

Requirements

To qualify, we require:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with adults and/or children with special needs.

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.

  • Must be 21 years of age.

  • Must have valid drivers license.

  • Must be able to complete a two week new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

  • Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.

  • Have a strong passion for working with and helping adults with special needs.
