Devereux New York is seeking an
Assistant Residence Manager
for our campus located in
. The Assistant Residence Manager will oversee intellectually and developmentally disabled children & adults, and partner with these individuals to facilitate daily care, enhance personal development, foster self-esteem, and meet or exceed individualized goals for success.
The hours for this position are full-time. Compensation is commensurate with relevant experience and education.
As an Assistance Residence Manager you will:
-Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the residence program.
-Act in Residence Manager capacity in their absence.
-Implement the daily operation of the assigned residence.
-Assist in the planning and implement ITP/Treatment Team goal methodologies and data collection.
-Maintain mandated OPWDD medication certification and will dispense medication as assigned.
-Be prepared for and attend ITP and Treatment Team meetings.
-Ensure implementation of Treatment Team procedure.
-Be responsible for student/resident safety and supervision as well as ensuring rights.
-Complete recreational lesson plans as required.
-Ensure all required documentation is completed, which includes, but is not limited to, daily logs, behavior incident reports, staff communication logs.

To qualify, we require our Assistant Residence Managers to:
Bachelor degree or Associates degree with one (1) year of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements : Pre-employment physical required. Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending & standing required. Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat. Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Good manual dexterity.**
