Job Summary:

Devereux PA Adult Services provides care and residential living to nearly 400 adults with intellectual and developmental challenges in homes, apartments and a long-term care community in southeastern Pennsylvania. (Chester, Montgomery & Delaware Counties) Our dedicated team of 600 staff, ranging from highly-specialized clinicians and nurses to recreational and direct staff professionals, all work to one common goal the happiness, self-fulfillment and social integration of each adult in our community. We currently seeking a Part Time RN with the following work schedule every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 7-3. This position is responsible to provide direct nursing care to adults 21 years and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The responsibilities for this position include :

  • Provides direction and oversight to staff who provide day to day care of Individuals as it relates to the medical care, medication administration and physical health.

  • Provides consultant nursing services to Residential and Vocational program clients.

  • Serves as health care advisor to Interdisciplinary Team.

  • Guides direct support professionals in the implementation of a program to ensure high quality health care services.

  • Monitors assigned Individuals and recognizes change in health status.

  • Identifies health care needs, and plans and implements a priority of care and appropriate interventions to meet those needs in accordance with established nursing procedures and regulations.

  • Evaluates therapeutic response to nursing interventions.

To qualify, we require:

  • Must hold a current, valid RN license and be eligible to practice in PA.

  • Nursing experience in a health care facility, prefered.

  • Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and/or TBI preferred.

  • Must be 21 years of age.

  • Must have valid license.

  • Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.

  • Have a strong passion for working with and helping adults with special needs.
